First Married Christmas

This was the first christmas that I've celebrated as a married man. We went up to New York to spend the holiday with my family, and had a great time eating. (Seriously, we didn't really do anything besides eat and sleep. It was awesome. True story.)

I woke up for work one day and spotted this lovely sight in the backyard! So I threw on some pants, grabbed my camera, and ran out on the deck and snapped some shots.

A short weekend in NY

Over Labor Day weekend, we drove up to Long Island to visit my family. My brother had a small party where he grilled up a storm, and we got to play with the babies!

Later that evening, we went to the US Open with my parents. I hadn't been in about 20 years, and Angie had never been, so it was a nice experience. We even caught a gorgeous sunset!

This was the site of the 1964 World's Fair (and the spaceships in the movie Men in Black)

Beat the Heat 5

Today's bouldering competition at Sportrock Climbing Center in Alexandria, VA was amazing. A great group of climbers, combined with even better route-setting, made for an enjoyable day of shooting.

The gym rapidly filled with climbers eager to get started.

Looking forward to Beat the Heat 5!

Sportrock in Alexandria, VA is hosting the Beat the Heat 5 Bouldering competition tomorrow, and I'll be there all day shooting tons of photos!
